Jon Beagles

Jon's passion for acting saw him study Theatre Studies to A Level before joining the National Youth Theatre in his early 20s where he received expert tuition and guidance on his craft. However, a burgeoning career in the world of sales saw him only acting (and directing) as a hobby for many years - along with using his voiceover talents to record company eLearning videos!

That is, until a chance encounter with David Gregan-Jones (of the award winning Channel 4 TV show 'It's a Sin') saw Jon invited to join Ruth Carney's acting academy (The Carney Academy), where David is the Principal. Having joined the Academy and benefitted from the support and guidance of David and other talented actors there, Jon auditioned and was delighted to be selected to play the part of Aidan in Joanne Phillips' phenomenal audio drama 'Everyone’s Happy'.

The experience was so brilliant, this has inspired Jon to devote more time to acting and as a result he appeared as an extra in a Ruth Carney-directed film project and has also recently gone on to win the Wilmslow One Act Festival Award for 'Best Performance' of 2023 for his portrayal of 4 characters - all with different accents - in a one-act play!
